Let us Pray…7 specific blessings.

Our heavenly Father, our hearts are filled with joy and great gladness on this, Mark and Angela’s
wedding day, as they come before You pledging their hearts and lives to one another.
1.   I ask thy blessings be upon these two today as they pledge to each other all that mind and
soul can give.  Father, we thank you for this beautiful day, and we thank you for Mark and
Angela.  We thank you Lord for bringing them safely this far on their journey. We pray that as you
join their hands and hearts together to become husband and wife that you will bless them.
2.  May Mark and Angela have a  love for Jesus that is active and alive.  May Jesus be the most
important person in their lives - the focus of their love. Consecrate these two this day Father, to a
life of seeking you first, for we are promised that those who seek will find.
3.  Father we thank you for this beautiful day, the day these two are united as one, and thankful
for the joy this brings us all.  Smile down on these two Father that they will have many days of
basking in this same feeling of joy.
4.  Thank you Father for the love you manifest to us in so many ways, and for the great example
we have of how to properly love one another. Bless all their efforts to show their love for each
other, and may their love mirror your unconditional love for us.
5.  Father, we thank you for Mark and Angela.   May the home they are creating truly be a place
where your spirit is ever present, a home built upon the foundation of your word, a home built
upon faith and truth and love and always be a place of harmony.
6.  Bless these two that stand before us now, Bless the rings they now wear. Continue to be with
them in their thoughts, their words and their deeds. Bless their lives with health and happiness,
with peace and prosperity, and with a love which continues to grow,  and endure, and inspire.  I
pray that their years together will be long and all that is good be with them unto the end.
7.  I ask you to bless each family and each marriage represented here today.
May their love for each other and commitment to each other be renewed by the words spoken
here today.

We ask these 7 blessings in Jesus name,
Let all who agree, say….Amen

The effectual
fervent prayer of a
righteous man
availeth much.
The Lord's Prayer is the model of prayer that Jesus taught us, as recorded in the gospels of Matthew 6:
9-13 and Luke:  11:2-4

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever. Amen

The Lords prayer, or the "our Father prayer" is prayed daily by thousands of Christians, and can be seen
both as a model for prayer, and as to be repeated as part of our daily prayer.
It starts by addressing God as our Father in heaven, that although His name is honoured, and above all
other names, we are His children. As such, we occupy a place of privilege, and He wants us to spend time
in prayer with Him.
The Lords prayer then moves on to pray that God's Kingdom, or rule, will become the norm on earth,
replacing human rules and governments, which too often are driven by greed and power. Only then do we
turn to our own needs, and ask our Father for our basic human needs to be satisfied, and that He would
forgive the wrong things that we have done. We ask for God's guidance and protection as we journey
through life. Finally we turn back to God, and acknowledge His supremacy and position as the Almighty
ruler

"Our Father who art in heaven..."
Lord, help me remember today that you not only rule the universe, but also
know me and love me with a Father's heart.

"Hallowed be Thy name..."
I thank and praise You for the beauty of the world and the blessings of
Your grace and love.

"Thy kingdom come..."
Help me spread Your joy and kindness and shine Your light in the lives
of my family, friends, and everyone I meet today.

"Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..."
Show me the plans You have for me and help me follow Your will with a
faithful spirit.

"Give us this day our daily bread..."
You give me everything I need for a good and happy life. Let me use these
gifts for Your glory and also generously share them.

"Forgive us our trespasses as w e forgive those who trespass against us..."
Help me to see others through Your eyes of compassion and forgive them
even when it's hardest, just as You have forgiven me.

"Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil..."
Be the Light on my path wherever I go, and let Your holy angels keep
me always.

"For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen."
May I keep in my heart that my strength, my hope, and my joy are in You
and only You --- today and forever. Amen
